My congratulations to the Principal, Prof. Babli Moitra Saraf for initiating ANANTA-the Science society in the College to encourage and motivate students to enhance scientific temperament and heartfelt gratitude for giving me the opportunity to coordinate this society.
Science is not only essential for humanity to succeed socially, economically and environmentally, but it is also the best tool to gratify the fundamental human thirst for knowledge. It is the systematic study carried through observation and experimentation. Being the coordinator of this society, the thought that gave me the push to motivate my students was the vast spectrum of knowledge and creativity that science provides. How can we deal with the current situations using the tools of science and get the best solution without going against the laws of nature—these are some questions that we addressed.
Another objective was achieved when we conducted the first event of society in the direction of spreading awareness with the theme”Electronic Scrap and E-Waste Management”. With the awareness, IP community can engage in the critical thinking needed to apply healthy skepticism and to discern the grey areas and uncertainties inherent in science-based information. The society flourished further with the enthusiasm shown by the students by bringing up projects that are useful in daily life. These projects inculcated a sense of inspiration in the students. Last but not the least, I would like to appreciate the entire team of Ananta for setting such a bar for the upcoming batches of students.
